Holy Baptism

Today was a lovely celebration that you are now part of God’s family.

Baptism is celebrating and enacting the embrace of God who first loved us from the moment of our conception.

Jesus said, "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5).

We Lutherans believe that baptism is God's special means of grace for children by which He causes them to be born again. To keep them from baptism is to keep them from forgiveness and to endanger them with damnation.

Child of God,
you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit
and marked with the cross of Christ
forever.

Baptism Cake

Just finished your baptism cake for tomorrow....

It should be delicious, a vanilla bean cake with fresh strawberry cheesecake filling...yummmm

Getting Ready for Baptism

Your Baptism gown got all clean and repaired for you to wear on your Christening this Sunday. Hard to believe this is already 30 years old. It was made by hand (crochet) by your late Great Grandma Biruta's best friend Linda Leuloff. It was given to me in 1984 at my baby shower for the arrival of your daddy.

Our beautiful  bouncing baby boy is now 8 weeks old, and getting sooo big way too fast. Your great aunt Tracy bought you this adorable sailor outfit, and I can't help but notice how much you remind me of your daddy wearing his. We had sooo much fun today. You were outside on the deck most of the day, and then we went on your favorite buggy ride down to the chocolate store. All of the ladies just adore you ,love your ride...
